EYELINER
Permanent eyeliner is a treatment that involves the implantation of pigment on the lash line, using a permanent makeup machine, to replicate the look of eyeliner. It can be applied in a variety of styles, including larger strong wings, light lash enhancements, or smokey looks in many colors.

Permanent eyeliner Styles
Many people opt for a permanent eyeliner treatment because it adds definition to the lash line. Alternatively, a bolder eyeliner look can save time for those with busy lifestyles and looks great while maintaining a soft delicate effect. The best part is you never have to worry about smudging or your eye makeup running. The most commonly requested styles are:
Lash enhancement: subtle definition that creates a fuller looking lash line making your eyes pop. Unlike traditional eyeliner, there is very little trace of pigment when eyes are closed.
Shaded eyeliner: soft and subtle wing or flick that accentuates the shape of the eyes. Also known as dusty eyeliner, this technique creates a beautiful winged eyeliner, but the shading keeps it soft and natural. Shaded liner does not over power the eyes, especially on no makeup days.
HOW IT WORKS
Certain steps are taken in order to ensure that your eyeliner treatment is successful.
PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Evaluation (online consultation)
- Pre-care instructions (provided to each client upon scheduling)
DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
- You will be requested to fill out medical history and consent forms to make sure that you are indeed a good candidate for the procedure chosen and that you understand the policies in place.
- Pictures of your eyes will be taken before the procedure.
- Firstly, the area will be numbed using a topical cream. Then color and eyeliner styles will be discussed.
- Your eyelids are going to be cleaned, and the eyeliner mapped and shaped. You will be asked to check the shape and if it’s overall within your preference.
- The process begins with tattooing first the eyeliner wing, then the lash line, and adding shading in the end to create the dusty (smoky eye) effect. Safe pigments and machine designed especially for treatments in this delicate area are used. During the process your eyelids will be numbed with a second topical cream, helping to avoid any possible pain.
-Once the treatment is over, an eye bath will be performed, when eyes are flushed with sterile water in order to cleanse the eye of any residual pigment or debris from the treatment.
- Another picture will be taken to capture your eyeliner.
- You will be provided with an aftercare kit containing instructions and an aftercare balm to be used during the healing process.
AFTER YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
- All clients will go through a healing phase that can take 7 to 10 days.
- After 6 to 8 weeks you will have to return for your touch up appointment in order to cover existing gaps and darken your eyeliner as it is expected some fading after your first treatment. Please note that the healing process varies from client to client. Some clients will barely need a touch up while others may need more work done to have their liner looking nice and fresh again. Results are much better after your second treatment, so it’s important to be patient and trust the process.
- Your second appointment will be faster than the first one as there will be no need to spend the same amount of time on measuring and shaping.
AFTER YOUR SECOND APPOINTMENT
- Healing process is the same, even though the healing is not as intense as in your first treatment.
- It is important to allow your eyeliner to fade in order to have a color boost. Clients are recommended to wait at least 1 year before having a color boost appointment.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS?
- After the procedure, eyes may look a little swollen. Your permanent eyeliner will appear darker and larger than it will look once it’s fully healed. It’ll feel tight and you can expect to wake up with swollen eyelids during this period. Light peeling/flaking is expected 3-5 days after the procedure. The eyeliner will start to lighten and may appear smaller than before, which is normal while the new skin starts to grow in. Once it’s fully peeled (after 6-10 days), the color will solidify and will begin to look like the final color.
